Want to join the Committee?
All the positions on the Area 8 committee are renewed each year at the AGM. So, if you would like to put yourself forward just get in touch with us or with your Riding Club.

Those present at the AGM vote for the person they think would be best in the role from those put forward ...  now, official as that sounds, do consider that we are never overwhelmed by volunteers for any of the positions! ... And we are very grateful for any help or support offered!

Area Representative

This role renews every three years as it's quite involved!

The Area Rep is our liaison between British Riding Club's HQ and us. He/she not only brings messages from HQ, they take our feedback and suggestions to HQ for consideration.

The Area Rep is also the Official Steward at events - in other words, an impartial body with an excellent knowledge of the rules to inspect the competition arenas prior to competitions, solve any disputes that may occur during the competition and double check the results to pass them back to HQ.

As always, there is a Committee vote to see who would best fill this position from the candidates put forward... but again, we are never overwhelmed by volunteers so, if you are interested please do get in touch.
